HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Journeys in Sight is a project conceptualized in 2010 and serves multiple purposes. It began originally to just record life, travel and the odds and ends along the way.

But the name itself encompasses many ideas - to see and hold fast and hard to the details and truths of the present; to look into the future with perspective and foresight; and to examine the insights gained through experience.

Through this experience, we have been honing our craft and capturing moments. If you like what you see, have us shoot what matters to you. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the journey through our eyes.

MEET THE PHOTOJOURNALIST

Hi!

My name is Kerri. I've been working in still photography, videography, writing and editing for the past 15 years. I cut my teeth at my hometown newspaper in high school, graduated from the University of Missouri with an emphasis in photojournalism, and then worked as the Managing Editor for a medical journal. For the last five years, I've been employed full-time as a photojournalist at an award-winning agriculture magazine called Today's Farmer.
I'll be honest, this website is probably more for me than anyone else. I don't share much of my life on social media, so this is where I chronicle the things I've done. And because I work an 8-5, run a photo side business, am pursuing a Masters degree, in addition to my husband and I figuring out this whole parenting thing, this website is constantly a work in progress. In the meantime, I hope you like what you see.
